Originally from North London I spent my young adult life working with photographers by day, while creating electro-indie music, running events and performing live music at night.

At 19 I dropped out of a degree course in film and video at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art, to focus on my music career. A decade later, still not a pop star, I was keen to get back to my studies and was accepted once more at CSM on a PGCert in Professional Photography. I graduated with a distinction for a multi-media exploration into the nature of portrait photography.

During my 20s while writing songs I also wrote several children’s books, five of which were published, the most successful, ‘Sometimes I like to curl up in a ball,’ first published in 2001 was republished in 2018 by Walker Books.

In 2012 I moved out of London to explore cooperative living. From intentional communities to spiritual retreat centres, these years were totally expansive, teaching me many practical skills while providing invaluable opportunities for personal development and spiritual growth.

In 2018 while living and working at a retreat centre in Oxfordshire I enrolled on an MA in Creative Writing, at Oxford Brookes. Working through the pandemic, I graduated in 2021 receiving a distinction for my final project, ‘Small Pieces,’ an experimental poetry collection exploring memoir.

More recently I have transferred my residence from the U.K to my fathers’ homeland, Ireland. Here, I find myself inspired anew. Exploring the landscape while incorporating the local culture, I am gathering material for a second artist bookwork.
